History
Park Lane Recording Studios started life in 1980 as a 16 track and was used by such local bands as DEACON BLUE, THE BLUEBELLS, ALTERED IMAGES, LLOYD COLE and LOVE AND MONEY. to make their first demos. In 1984 the studio was upgraded to 24 track with new control room being added.
Since then, the list of clients who have recorded albums and singles at Park Lane reads like a who's who of Scottish music:- TEXAS, G.U.N, DEL AMITRI, BIG COUNTRY, HIPSWAY, WET WET WET, THE NECTERINE No.9. , etc. Other Clients Include THE PET SHOP BOYS, FUGEES, WEST LIFE, DARIUS.
Some the bands who have gained major deals after recording a Park Lane demo. Are, TRAVIS, THE AC ACOUSTICS, WHITEOUT, THE SMILES, HARDBODY and BABY CHAOS.
The Studio was closed for Refurbishment in December 2005 and Reopened Mid January 2006.
